As you explore the Sierra del Infierno, you will learn about the region's natural environment while connecting directly with residents who maintain unique cultural practices outside of state-run institutions.

Your experience begins near the baseball stadium on Adela Azcuy Norte Street, where you will meet your independent local Cuban guide. From there, a short taxi ride—operated by a private independent driver—will take you to the base of the mountain. At first light, you will begin your guided hike into the Sierra del Infierno. As you ascend, your guide will share insights into the region's geology, flora, and fauna, offering a deeper understanding of Viñales' unique ecosystem.

Along the trail, you will pause at scenic viewpoints to witness the sunrise illuminating the valley's iconic mogotes. These moments provide exceptional opportunities for photography and reflection. During the hike, you will visit the independent rural community of Los Acuáticos. Here, you will engage respectfully with local individual Cuban residents to learn about their traditions, including their spiritual beliefs related to the healing properties of water.

Continuing upward, you will reach the summit, where expansive views of the Viñales Valley unfold. After time to take in the landscape, the group will descend back to the base, where your return transfer will be waiting. The experience concludes back in Viñales approximately three hours after departure.
