Only 4 miles from Trinidad, nature and history become allies to offer something more than a simple memory. El Cubano Park, located within the Topes de Collantes Great Natural Park, is a great way to learn about all the nature Cuba offers. You will be guided by a local host through one of the site’s main attractions, the Huellas de la Historia (Following the Footprints of History) nature trail. Populated with colorful birds and an abundance of flora and fauna, the area has always been an inspirational site for local Cuban writers, painters and musicians. As you engage with your local host, they will explain more about the different trees, birds and species living in the park, as well as linkage to the history of Cuba unlocking the natural treasures around us.

Experience a meaningful interaction with Eusebio, a local Cuban farmer, and learn about his daily life and habits. He will welcome you and talk about this paradise he calls home.

Continue the trail and follow the path through hanging bridges and exuberant nature until you reach the refreshing Salto de Javira waterfall. Here, you will be able to engage with locals from the area to enhance your knowledge about Cuba’s ecosystem. Prior to your departure, you will have time to enjoy lunch at a restaurant located inside of the park. After, you will be returned to your pick up/drop off location.
